Crimping
Crimping is a common manufacturing process to connect two or more materials together. Crimping is commonly deployed in automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, electronics, and is often mission critical in nature. For example, hydraulic hoses in vehicles are crimped to connectors that operate steering, braking, and cooling systems. In the medical industry the reliability of a heart valve component can be dependent on a wire retainer held by a crimped feral.
